The Day-By-Day Itinerary:-

11th March night Delhi to Pathankot

Day 1 (12 March) : Delhi – Pathankot.

Pickup from Delhi Railway station / Bus stand and transfer to Dalhousie on arrival Hotel check in. Explore the vast and pristine surroundings of Dalhousie and Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2 (13 March) : Dalhousie- Chamba – Khajjiar- Dalhousie.

Proceed to Chamba, located on the right bank of the river Ravi. Proceed to Khajjiar. Explore Kalatop – Khajjiar sanctuary, a 12th century temple and more at Khajjiar. Drive back to Dalhousie, followed by Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3 (14 March) : Dalhousie – Mcleodganj.

Drive to Mcleodganj today. Mcleodganj arrival and hotel check in localsightsieng half day city tour visiting Dal Lake, Church, Bhasu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Afternoon free. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 4 (15 March) : Mcleodganj-to Manali.

After breakfast Mcleodganj sightseeing and drive to Manali. In way visit Palampur Tea Garden and kulu. At Manali evening is free to relax & enjoy the facilities at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 5 (16 March) : Manali.

After breakfast you have an opportunity to visit Manikaran, Kasol vallery, Vashno Temple, Rafting point, Solang Valley then return back to manali and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 6 (17 March) : Manali- Rohtang Pass- Manali .

Drive up to Rohtang Pass, Kothi, Rahalla Waterfalls, Nehru kund, Gulaba Camp, Rani Nala, Marhi on the way. Rest of the evening is free to explore Manali.

Day 7 (18 March) : Manali- Delhi .

After breakfast Hidimba Devi Temple, Manu Rishi, Vashist Rishi Temple, Van Vihar (Puddle Boating), Buddhist Monastery, Club House, Siyali Mahadev Temple and localsightseeing and drop to Mall raod in evening to board the overnight vovlo for Delhi.

Bhagsunag Fall :- ( 11 km. from Dharamshala town ) Known for its old temple, a fresh water spring, water falls and slate quarries. Bhagsunag can be approached by road. The Bhagsu fall is one of the main attractions of Mcleodganj. You can take a dip in the chilly water of fall.

St. John's Church :- ( 8 km. from Dharamshala town ) The church lies in the forest between Mcleod Ganj and Forsyth Ganj. It has a monument dedicated to Lord Elgin, one of the viceroys of India, who died at Chauntra ( Mandi district ) and was buried here in 1863 A.D. The Church has lovely spotted glass windows and there is a Christian cemetery around it. It is ideally situated in the majestic 'Deodar' forest.

Dharamkot :- ( 14 km. from Dharamshala town ) It is situated on the crest of a hill, this favourite picnic spot affords a panoramic view of the kangra valley and the Dhauladhar ranges. One can reach Dharamkot by a simple trek from Bhagsu. Various small restaurant type of shops are situated in the path for a quick relaxation and bevarages. The scenery from Dharamkot is simply breathtaking and you also meet the Gaddi folks.

War Memorial :- Situated in Dharamshala town. The memorial is situated near the entry point to Dharamshala commemorates the memory of those who fought valiantly for the honour and defence of the mother land. The place is ideally located in the pine forest. There is also a cafe just close to War Memorial serving fast food and baverages.

Triund :- 17 km. from Dharamshala town, at an altitude of 2,827 metres. The snowline starts just 5 km. from Triund and affords a breathtaking view of the snows above and the valley below. It is a popular picnic and trekking spot. Those who want to do a return trek in one day are advised to start early. Is is the famous trek route for local people as well as for tourists.

Kunal Pathari :- 3 km. ) from Dharamshala ( Kotwali Bazar ). A level walk from Kotwali Bazar leads upto the rock temple of the local goddess.

Kareri :- ( 22 km. ) Altitude 2,166 metres. Kareri lake is surrounded by green meadows, Oak and Pine trees, making it an idyllic place to visit.

Dal Lake :- Lies amidst hills and deodar tress and is 11 km. from Lower Dhramshala. It is a starting point for excursion and trekking and is located next to Tibetan children's village.

Manikaran Sahib in Himachal Pradesh

Manikaran Sahib is a famous pilgrimage in Himachal Pradesh with a strong religious feelings for Hindus and Sikhs because this place has some reference to sikh religion and hindu religion both. Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley between the rivers Vyaas and Parvati with an altitude of 1760 m and about 45km from Kullu.

It is believed that Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati spend hundreds of year here because they were impressed by the surrounding beauty of mountains, waterfall and nature. During their stay, Mata Parvati lost her jewel (mani) of earring which made her upset. Lord Shiva ordered everyone to search her jewel but they were unable to find it. This made God Shiva angry and open his third eye which brought calamity to the Universe. During his anger, serpent god, 'Shesh Nag' was called to make calm Shiva but his tries too failed. When Shesh Nag hissed to cool down Shiva, it produced hot water that made this manikaran temple famous for hot springs. Today also you can see the hot water on one side and cold water running on other side of the shrine. Even the meaning of Manikaran as jewel of ear came after this scene.

For sikh religion, Manikaran is their religious place because Giani Gian Singh mentioned that Guru Nanak Dev ji visited this place. The Janam Sakhi describes that the guru came to Mani Karan along with his Five 'Piaras' or followers.

Various attractions of Manikaran are Lord Ramchandra Temple, Temple of Lord Shiva, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurudwara, Hot Springs, Kulant Pith, Harinder Mountain & Parvati River.
