Dhauli has gained prominence due to Buddhist Peace Pagoda, popularly known as Shanti Stupa, built in the early seventies by the Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha and Japan Buddha Sangha.

Sisupalgarh : - famed Lingaraj Temple is situated just 2 KM from Bhubaneswar which lie the ruins of Sisupalgarh. Dating back to the 3rd and 4th century BC, there was a well fortified city here which gave the Orissan civilization has very ancient roots.

Hirapur (15 km)* : - Hirapur has Hypaethral temple of sixty four Yoginis which is the 11th century old.
