Dhauli (8 km)*
:- Know for the ancient temple of Lord Dhavaleswar stood over the hill-top, which was reconstructed in 1972. Surrounded by paddy fields, the Dhauli is a hill station which brings back memories of 'Kalinga war' which was fought around here. It is here that Ashoka became the deciple of Buddhism. Dhauli has gained prominence due to Buddhist Peace Pagoda, popularly known as Shanti Stupa, built in the early seventies by the Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha and Japan Buddha Sangha.

Sisupalgarh : - famed Lingaraj Temple is situated just 2 KM from Bhubaneswar which lie the ruins of Sisupalgarh. Dating back to the 3rd and 4th century BC, there was a well fortified city here which gave the Orissan civilization has very ancient roots.

Hirapur (15 km)* : - Hirapur has Hypaethral temple of sixty four Yoginis which is the 11th century old.

Atri(42 km)* :- This place is famous for the hot sulphur water spring, Situated amidst greenery,14 km. from Khurda and 42 km. from Bhubaneswar, It is assumed that the bath in the spring water do cure from skin diseases apart from being a pleasant feeling, this is holy place with the shrine of Hatakeswar.
